1861 & 1871 look up please....

   Hello all ......

  Well I have finally gone mad I have "lost" one of hubbies rellies
 Can anyone help me with this please.

  William Foulkes b Stewkley @1830

 I have him in 1841& 1851 but after that nothing.
 Spellings of surname include..... Fooks   Foocks   Folkes   Folks.

  Also if his parents acn be seen in 1861/1871 that would be great

  William Foulkes  b Bletchley @1786  died 1867
  Susannah Foulkes b Stewkley @ 1798 died 1879.

  Any help would be great.

William Fowkes married 41 yrs labourer b Buckinghamshire (Stickley has been written above in a different hand)
Mary 35 yrs washerwoman Ireland (Castlereigh has been added similarly)
William son 4 yrs Battersea Surrey

His p o b has been transcribed as Sarkstey

I wonder if he has been in the Army/Navy??

  Thanks Heywood..... and a bonus in Charles had not come across him before.
  I am itching to get to library but little one is sick so am delayed.

  I found a poss mistranscription for William on a marriage on FBMD but the scans are wrong for the print.

   Dec 1859 Winslow  3a  707.

  William ECOCKES ....  which I could poss read as FOOCKES

  After that I am at a loss.

   Have just seen above reply ..... poss wives listed are Mary Ann Fairbrother
                                                                                        Mary Harris.

  And another spelling. Worth checking him out as I cannot see a death under anything for him in Winslow area so could be.

That marriage is written as Ecockes in the list

There is a birth for a Charles Thomas Foocks 1851 which must be yours. Also a Charles Fooks 1853 - both Winslow.

   Hi Heywood .....

  Got to check up on them. However the marriage was not in Stewkley so will have to go around the villages next time . They did travel back to Stewkley though to have William jnr baptised in the church .

  William Folkes son of William & Mary of Stepney London
  baptised August 18 1867.

  So at least it proves it is my William .
