Thomas Eagles Weston B 1860 Worces
« on: Sunday 30 November 08 22:07 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for any information on Thomas Eagles Weston B 1860 Stanford on Teme Worcs.  I am told that he moved to the Isle of Wight and married in September 1885 2B 920.  But I have no idea how to move on from there.  I would dearly love to find out about his family and where he lived.  Can anybody help me please.  Ken Weston

Hello Ken, And, a WARM welcome to Rootschat! ;D  I don't know if you found him in 1881 yet, but he is living in Hereford, working as a draper's assistant...apparently not with any family members. You can access that for free at www.familysearch.org.  Sorry I don't have access to any other censuses at the moment, but I am certain other Rootschatters will help you follow his trail! Pat

freebmd.rootsweb.com shows
Thomas Eagle Weston, b. 1860 (Martley district)
Thomas Eagle Weston, m. 1885 (to Alice Lucy Cave or Ellen Osbourne, Isle of Wight).
Thomas Eagle Weston, d. 1890 aged 29 (in Worcester)

Possibly he married Alice - Alice Lucy Cave was b. 1858 in IoW, and in 1891 in Solihull there's an Alice Weston, widow, aged 31, a housekeeper to Joseph Hillman.

What a response I am Overwelmed.  Many thanks to everybodody that supplied information, especially Jorose for giving the crucial lead.  I now know that he married in 1885 and died in 1890 and it would seem likely that he died childless, but I will need to keep this line of enquiry open.  Thanks again Ken Weston

Hi Ken

First off, welcome to RootsChat ;D

Though can't help with your man directly, when I was researching at Worcester Family Records, whilst looking for another surname, I came across the following details ( Eagles is in our family and the name seemed rare in Worcester,  so I made a note of it):

Baptisms: 1831 St Helens, Worcester  - Elizabeth daughter of Ann and William Eagles

Sorry I dont have the day/month but only a cursory note was taken :-\

Hope this may be of use to you.

Happy hunting
