Patterson Family.

Can anyone else help? I found information that may be related to my family.

William Patterson & Elizabeth Patterson had a son James Patterson (died 18th January 1939 at 68 years).

Their son James Patterson married an Annie Adam (died died 20th August 1943 at 70 years old) they had at least 2 children; James Patterson & Jean Patterson (died on 1st September 1971)



I'm just trying to find out if a James Patterson (died in 1985 at age of 64 born around 1920s) is the brother of Jean & the James mentioned above??

I'm replying because no-one else has (yet).

The only way I can think you could confirm that the James that died 1985 is Jean's brother, son of James and Annie, would be to get a copy of the death record.  It would have the parents names on it.

I'm assuming you got his death from SP.  You can order the record from SP for £10 but that's a bit expensive if it's the wrong guy.

Another alternative would be to visit NRH in Edinburgh or Park Circus in Glasgow but I'm not sure of your location.  The daily fees I believe are £10 and £14 respectively.

Someone already visiting Edinburgh or Glasgow may be willing to do a look-up for you. (perhaps a new post headed "death look-up request - NRH or Park Circus" or similar?)

On the SP death index there is 1 record for a

James Patterson(mothers maiden name Adam) died aged 80 in 1986
