Dobbies Loan info:-R. Laidlaw & Son-Engineers & ContractorsBarrowfield Iron Works, Broad St. Mile End. Cast Iron Pipe Makers, Iron & Brass Founders, Alliance Foundry, 147 , East Milton Street, Broomhill Pipe Foundry356 Dobbies Loan.
I have photos of my GGfather's 1870 contract with above to supervise mods to gas holders in Moscow. He took wife & daughter (my grandmother) there and they had 2 more children there. His death details unknown but by 1881 census he is dead.
