I've just been told that this branch of the Pattersons lived in Holmfirth from 1911 until the late 1930s when they moved to Huddersfield. They came from Great Yarmouth originally so perhaps the guy in KOYLI was from Norfolk.
Alternatively, despite what we've been told, he could stem from a female line in which case we've been looking for someone who doesn't exist
