hi all,

i have been researching a scotish family who moved over to canada around 1957 and their daughter was killed in a huge car crash around the rockies, would there be a link anywhere that i could read the extract from the newspaper of 1958?

"around the rockies"  is a VERY big area  :) so really doesn't help in guiding you to a specific newspaper link.

The Rockies extend a great length along the boarders of British Columbia and Alberta which are seperate provinces.  So without more information we wouldn't even know which province to look in.

Perhaps you have a bit more information or could give us her name?

Like Dollylee said, you are talking about an extremely large area.

You could however try this link. It has a few papers for 1958, but you would have to search manually.

Here is another, but again only a few newspapers for that time period.

Paper of Record has one that covers that time frame. (It is free to join and download)
Alberta - Drumheller Mail

If you  think the death took place in British Columbia, you could search the B.C. Archive.

The only other thing I can suggest, provided you know where they lived, or where the accident took place, would be to get in touch with the public library in either of those places and ask them if they would be willing to do a look-up.

Hope this helps.
