Hi the macklins I am looking at are from forest of dean gloucestershire, their father thomas born c 1779 place unknown but pos herefordshire no proof though.  His sons thomas william henry all came to southaustralia thomas and family stayed in adelaide, william and henry came to dean outside ballarat victoria where they cleared land and farmed, henry uprooted and ended up with his family in north eastern vic. they all had a lot of children so many macklins are from them.         cathy

I have been compiling a Macklin family tree for some time.  Basically the family that I have traced are grouped around St Andrew's parish church in Dublin.  They migrated all over with many going to the UK and some (my branch) to Australia.  Wonder if any one else is working on this particular family grouping or know of anyone still in Dublin that may be members of this family?
