Percy  -  hello

I asked a mod. to merge your threads - so we're all on the same page now  ;)

Pam has gone off-line, so I'll try and help you.

We have three topics  -
1) the families of Robert's brothers and sisters
2) the family of Sarah  -  her parents and siblings
3) the family of your great grandfather Joseph

Have I got that right ?

Mary

Good :)    Here's the first one then,

JAMES OLIVER  1834

James was a farm labourer.

Their children were:

Jessie Gould Oliver  Q1. 1856
Lily Gould Oliver Q1. 1859

James died aged 60  Q1. 1890 Tiverton  Vol. 5b.  Pg. 357
Sarah may have died in 1884 in Exeter (their daughter Lily was living there)

ANN GOULD OLIVER 1853

Ann married Q3. 1870 to James Abrahams
They remained living in Silverton.

Their children were
Bessie  1871  (registration not found, appears on 1881 census)

Ethel Lily Cockram  Q3. 1882

I hope this information is what you were looking for and that the presentation is ok ?

Mary

Hello Percy ;)

WILLIAM OLIVER 1823

William married Q3. 1849 Totnes  Vol. 9  Pg. 617 to  Eliza Wakeham

In 1851 they were living with Eliza's parents in South Brent.
By 1861 they were living in Alphington Stree, Exeter, where they remained for 40 years.  William was a labourer.

In 1871 there is an Eliza Oliver aged 17 living with them, described as daughter aged 17 born Bristol.  However, I can't find a registration for her in Bristol,  nor can I see her in 1861 or subsequent censuses   :-\     So - she is a mystery  ???

Willim died aged 68  Q1. 1892  Exer  Vol.5b. Pg. 99

Regards
Mary
