I have gone to the forum and want to reply to posts as the discussion includeds my Grandmother and I have information I would like to share but there is no reply button?

Not sure what you've done Teepee ???
When you go to whichever forum you are talking of, you have to click on whatever topic you want to reply to and open it up, then you'll find a reply button - one at the top and one at the bottom of the screen; on mine it's green with reply in white.

I think only the For Sale & Wanted ones don't have a reply button, but there may be others.
The 'ordinary' subjects are OK.

ps.  the new pages cannot be accessed directly from some topic pages (i.e. from within some topics),
or from some of the board pages  :(

But they can always be accessed from the index page.

I am a bit confused about where to actually post messages. I have quite a lot of information on my family tree and can go back on 1 branch to 1509. I do  have some gaps which I am sure could be filled in if I can get the information I have onto an appropriate feed. But I am struggling as to what I need to access to share my information.

Why don't you start on the beginners board.  Your post can then be moved to another location by a moderator if that seems appropriate.
