Hi brandsberg,

just a few thoughts:

For background info.: http://www.genealogienetz.de/reg/SCI/sil-e.html

I looked up Waldenburg in http://gov.genealogy.net/index.jsp
and got
Walbrzych, Waldenburg (Schles.)   Schlesien RB Breslau - Waldenburg
clicking on the link, I got
http://gov.genealogy.net/ort.jsp;jsessionid=4207F19D63A4011521628D5FBB28377A?id=155846 with more details plus a list of 4 other people researching this place, plus the possibility of entering your name in the list, plus two internet links.  If you can read german, have a look.

one of the links http://www.ingo-klose.de/ shows a Simona Wiesner, with contact e-mail address, but I think she was from Saxony.

also tried GEDBAS: http://gedbas.genealogy.net/index.jsp for grossbeck, grosspietsch and grosspeitsc and got one result:
Karoline Grosspietsch  from Lodz, in Poland.  Doesn't sound promising !

Also found 171 WIESNER. Might be worth looking through them to see if if you recognise anybody.

and here is my "rainy afternoon" tip:  go to http://www.geneanet.org/index.php3

enter GROSSPIETSCH => 11 entries
enter WIESNER => 398 entries, some from Schlesien / Silesia

most of these have links to family tree web-sites. Browse through some of them, you may get lucky and find some names and places you recognise !

Good luck,
Bob
