Hi Maz59,

I remember ladymount very well, used to back onto the Queen Elizabeth woodland, I had a few friends that also lived there in the 70's  (Derek Matthews / Keith Hawkins) ... here's a link to a website with loads of old photos of wallington / carshalton and beddington etc...

ladymount was originally known as the banks and at around 1910 was owned by the waddon and beddington mill owner and his family by the name of Wallis, i don't know when it happened but it was a school in the 1950s 60s and the ministry of transport compulsory purchased it for the m23 motorway extension in 1969, which eventually didn't happen, the council used it till it was demolished 15 years ago, as temp accom, i have lived opposite since 1977, i got this picture but its all i have, the land, according to my original deeds, that my house is on was known as white bench fields, and was purchased from the estate of the owner of the banks in 1928 i used to go scrumping in the 80s into the ex tennis courts of the big house for superb cooking apples, the bungalow at the bottom of Evelyn way was the banks lodge, 
the 2nd picture shows ladymount (the banks) on the horizon 1910ish

yes, i was just looking up information myself on the bank, ladymount, and it took me to this sight were i saw the request for infomation, i was hoping i could send her a personal email via this sight  but i havnt notced any link in her profile
 she may well have cancelled her notification.

thank you i have just seen the photos but i was hoping to get something more i was hoping maybe someone that lived there when i was there might of put something on but never mind , i just want to show my children & grandchildren the GRAND house i lived i  as a child , but thank you so much for your pics I went to take some when i travelled over that way & it was gone & laings who demolished it no longer have any pics or owt , never mind il keep trying
