His dad was Robert lamb who married selina brooks and I think his sister was councey lamb .
They lived in Southend

Any info would be appreciated.  :)

Hi aa1webb.
I am originally from Leigh on Sea and all of my family live there .
Robert and Selena are my great grand parents and I have become stuck with them! Not sure of the name of their parents or their siblings.

Thanks for all the info and dates  :)  :)

Hi,
I'm not in Essex but just south of the Dartford bridge and so able to visit the area easily enough. My mum was also born in Rochford but she hasnt been back so hoping to take a trip over within the next week as interested at visiting some of these locations that my family are from.

Thanks for the info re the spearman family, this could be the link i need :))

Hi,

If anyone is able to assist I am researching the Bibby and Spearman family.

I am searching for:
Violet Bibby (1902 ish to 1970) who married Golden Spearman (b.1902) in Rochford and lived in Eastwood.
Dorothy Spearman (b.1909 in Southchurch, Southend)
Violet Spearman (b.1931 ish) who married a John Haynes in Rochford, 1950.

Also searching Pauline Myrtle Spearman (b.1933 in Rochford), she is also believed to use the name Violet May. Any help is much appreciated as this is my grandmother whom I never got to meet.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. If you have any suggestions on where I can look would be great.

The family all lived at address in Eastwood Road, North Road and Warwick Drive. All based within the Southend / Rochford / Wickford / Billeracy area.

Thanks again
Clare  ;D

Many thanks for replying so soon.  I'm sort of after anything on the Scarrotts in Eastwood - I keep getting confused because the different families seem to use the same names, and it's difficult to work out who belongs to who.  I was hoping to save you slogging away on the computer, which you've done so well for other people - you must have the patience of a saint!
