This Henry Clark is in my direct lineage. What is ESRO?  I'd like to read the will.  Any hints as to where to find it on Family Search?  We were told he was buried in St. Mary's Churchyard in Rye, England.  I would like proof of that also.
I am descended like this:  Henry, Philip Sr., Philip Jr, Sarah Frances Clark Martin, Julia I. Martin Byerly, Richard A Byerly, and then myself.  So my great grandmother was a Clark.

This is all great information!  Took me a bit to figure out how to reply.  This site is all new to me.  I need to sit down with all of this and compare, but it does seem that this is my Henry Clark as he died on the 18th of May 1832. Henry had mentioned the names of two sons that remained in England in his will.  Henry's son, Phillip Sr. was born on the 25th of March 1827 in Rye, England, married Elizabeth Gravett on 7th March 1810 in Rye, England.  She died in England in 1820. It was after the death of his wife that Phillip Clark Sr. came to Illinois.  He remarried two more times.  Phillip had a brother named Edward who also came to the USA.
