looking for Donnelly's
« on: Monday 22 August 05 15:46 BST (UK) »
Hi,

My great grandfather Hugh Donnelly was born c1890 in Armagh and his father was James Donnelly.
Sometime after that, James and his wife died and Hugh was adopted but I don't think it was an "official" adoption. The family later moved to Cheshire.

Where can I find a record of Hugh's birth and possibly adoption? I know the surname of his adoptive parents.

Can anyone do a search for me please?

Hugh Donnelley b 1890-91 son of James Donnelley in Armagh.

I'm afraid I don't know any more details.

Any help appreciated.

Kind regards,

Nothing on your birth, sorry, but if you have a look at

you will find references to the Donnelly surname in Armagh and some ideas of where to look for further possibilities.
