help with George Thomas Sloan (b. 1756)

Hello,

I am stuck.  I can't find any info on George Thomas Sloan, who born in 1756 in County Cork, Ireland.  I was curious to know if anyone had any information (e.g., parents, siblings, his background, etc.) about him.  Some family members I have talked with that have done extensive research on my family have said they hit a "brick wall" when it comes to George Thomas Sloan.  I am hopeful that someone out there has something on him.  If no information is available, can someone give me some suggestions on where to go from here?  Thank you very much!
