Hi I am looking for a David LILLEY born Stoke Suffolk England to parents Johnathon LILLEY and Sarah WARD.  Also looking for any other children to this couple.

David was born abt 1842. Place of birth according to headstone in New Zealand

I think the transcriber made a mistake here with the age.
I had a look at it says its their son so it has to be wrong. And age not very clear either.

Thank you so much for the info.  I now know that David came to New Zealand between 1861 and 1870 when he was married in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Now to work out if his parents came out with him or any other members of his family.

I see on family search a marriage for Johnathon LILLEY and Sarah WARD 1826

Will have another look for the marriage

Johnathan was a farm labourer born in Higham, Suffolk.
His wife and all children were born in Polstead.
The last three different names were lodgers.

1861  RG9/1136/57/4

Johnathan is still an Ag Lab.
David Lilley's age is probably 19, but there is an extraneous mark or two which makes it look like 49.
The last three children are marked as being in the next household - I can't really work out the words in their relationship column but it might say orphan.
