Baptism/Birth - BAXTER of Fressingfield
« on: Wednesday 31 December 08 14:59 GMT (UK) »
Hi, i hope someone will be able to assist with finding my 3x great grans birth or Christening.

Her name was Lucy Baxter born c 1812 in Fressingfield so the census says, by 1841 she was living in

Norfolk with 3xg Grandad Jonathan Neve and children. I would love to have her parents names and her

marriage date would be a bonus. Many thanks and Happy New Year Lynne

Hi

I have just checked the IGI for Fressingfield and they are online but no Lucy Baxters born 1810-1815 I'm afraid.

There was a Lydia Baxter born in 1814 and a Lucy Baxter born in 1852, 40 years after your one. Lucy may have been born in a neighbouring parish.

Hi

Its a pity that Lucy wed 3 years before civil registration as that could have given her fathers name and helped narrow down the baptism.

This is a submitted entry and should be treated with caution. Its also doubtful as the submitter only put Norfolk, which to my mind may indicate that they don't know where the actual marriage took place. :-\ :-\
