Alfred Oliver PILL from Swindon.

Born in Swindon in 1910  Montague Street , to Charlotte Laura PILL nee Williams, my Great Aunt, and Thomas Pill,  the 2nd son of 3 children,commonly known as OLIVER PILL, I have been told that he was 6ft 5 inches tall !  and had big hands ! he, in later life was Secretary of the Wiltshire Agricutural Workers Union my father told me this,[David Edgar Williams 1907-1983] too late to ask him anymore questions. Possibly living in South Marston.  Now the story, I would like to find his Wife,s name, possibly  "HYDE"  because a West Swindon Lady whose Gran was a Hyde from Nythe Farm Stratton St Margarets has told me that her Mum, nee Hyde, visited a "relative"in South Marston regularly during WW11 and he had,   BIG HANDS!!!
 Is there a way to find out because I am "stumped" Thanks Allen.

If you know roughly when he married then you can search (if you subscribe or can get to a library that does) the full index on www.ancestry.co.uk , but it must be done quarter by quarter so can take some time!

The Church of the Latter Day Saints ("Mormons") will also have records if there is a family history centre near to you.

The FreeBMD site has only just started getting details from the early 1930s.
