EDMUND ST.JOHN

Please can any one help. looking for info of my husbands great grandfather ,on his daughter HANNAH ST.JOHNS marriage cert to Henry Rolfe[he was in the English army] in 1878 in Buttervant her father was a musician .
Now we know Hannah was born in MALLOW CORK, but was her father in the army as well or how do i find any form of records for Musicians in Ireland ,i have found an EDWARD ST,JOHN who was about the right age but no Edmund.
Hannah was born about 1758 & appears on the 1881 census for England in Wiltshire,she had one child HARRIOT ROLFE in Ireland .
Any help would be wonderfull ,thankyou.
