The Braziers of Rye

I'm interested in learning more about the Braziers of Rye - they appear from what I can gather in the A2A database to have been reasonably well to do.
I am descended from Eliza Oyler, baptised in Winchelsea in 1806, the daughter of Thomas Oyler and Elizabeth Brazier.
These two seem to have enjoyed two weddings, one in Winchelsea (26 Sep 1790) and the second in his home parish of Hawkhurst (8 Oct 1790).

Elizabeth is I think the youngest daughter of James Brazier and Mary Bennett, being baptised 16 Dec 1766 at Rye.

Any other info relating to the family would be much appreciated!

In memory of Mary, wife of James Brazier, who died March 16th 1808 aged 59 years.  Left surviving one son and two daughters, James, Elizabeth and Judith.  And also of James Brazier, who died April 15th 1834, aged 84 years.

There are three more memorials with Brazier on:
E57 - Elizabeth, wife of William Brazier 1795 aged 38
William Brazier, husband of Elizabeth, 1810 aged ?

E58 - Thomas Brazier, 1808 aged 48 years

E60 - Mary, wife of Thomas Brazier, 1758 aged 52

James Brazier of Tenterden, Kent married Mary Bennett of Rye by licence on 9 September 1750 at Bodiam, Sussex

Had a look at the 1820 Sussex Poll and there is a William Brazier of Rye mentioned as a freeholder.

This is all great stuff.

If you come across anything relating to the daughter Eliza Oyler and the father of her first illegitimate child (Samuel Dean) then that would be great also.

I think Thomas Oyler and Elizabeth (nee Brazier) both died when their children were young - the daughters, Eliza, Lucy and Celia end up spread around various people in Sussex, and there are all sorts of poor law letters mentioning them.

This thread caught my eye as my wife's maternal 2nd great grandfather was Henry Brazier (1802-1845) also from Rye. He was married to Mary Munn Furby (1808-1846) from Rye on 20/10/1832. They had two children, Henry (1838-1838) and Frederic (1843-1878). Frederic married an Ann Taylor but both died relatively young leaving 3 children who had to be left with relatives in Worcestershire. Henry was a wool-stapler and had a warehouse in the town. He was a local councillor and was asked to become mayor.  He refused due to corruption in the council which is another story!

I have appreciated the memorial records that have been provided as some of these where relevant to me. Henry and Mary have a memorial plaque in the Parish Church and I was once told that he/they are buried in the church.
