I just looked in the old newspapers, have no connection to the man.

In case you don't have it, there is an entry in the probate calendar for him

1945
HEARSE George of 158 Bishopsgate London died 31 October 1945 at 193 Upper Shortham-road Kingston-by Sea Shoreham-by-Sea Sussex Probate Newcastle-upon-Tyne 4 February to John George Wilkin law accountant and William Hudson Hutchinson chartered accountant. Effects £48199 15s 8d

The will, if you don't already have a copy, may tell you something and can be ordered from here

Possibility................. ??? ??? ???

There was a marriage George Hearse to Margaret Atkinson - registered September 1956 - Northumberland S - 1b 827 - there were 2 Hearse births which are possibilities - March 1960 (male) and 1963 female.

The 1960 birth I believe - George D Hearse could be George David Hearse who is now deceased.

Obituary for a George Stanley Hearse - 4 October 2013 Brookfield Nursing Home -

George Stanley, aged 87 years, formerly of Grove Mount, Ramsey. Beloved husband of the late Margaret................

Added - There is an ancestry tree with incorrect information that claims George Stanley Hearse - born about 1926 -  Castle Ward, Cumberland - passed away 2 February 1966 - Bath, Somerset, England.

The probate shown 3 June 1966 for George Stanley Hearse of St Johns Bradford Road Bathford Bath who died 2 February 1966 at St Martins Hospital - grants probate to William Read Hearse - Bank Manager.

The death for  George S Hearse - born about 1881 and death registered March 1966 Bath Somerset - 7C 64 is for a George S Hearse aged 85 years - not the correct one.
William Reed Hearse mentioned was the son of George Stanley Hearse born 1908.

There is a death worth looking at and registered for George David Hearse born 7 January 1960 (which would fit with a birth in the first quarter of 1960)  who passed away February 1986 - York North Yorkshire - volume 2 - page 3358
