I desperatley want to find someone - but how!!!?? new to all of this...
« on: Friday 11 February 05 04:02 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for a Frederick WEAVER born in Shropshire (possibly Telford or Shrewsbury) circa 1921.  He died circa 1956 but probably in the Southampton area. All I know is that he had a half sister called Iris Weaver and three children called Michael, Linda & Alec.  Iris Weaver died about 2 years ago and I never spoke to her - his children are all still alive but have no knowledge. He married Beryl Pennicott but am unsure where/when.

I am desperate to find any information out I can - a birth certificate?? anything! Its 4am and i've done everything I possibly can on the PC to find him..... I know very little and thats the problem.

Fred is my great grandad and is said to have moved away from Shropshire to Southampton as he disowned his family because he returned from war to find they had written him out of the will and were going to leave the family estate to the housekeeper (or so the story goes!).

Fred died at a young age, his eldest son (my Dad) was only about 5 years old so knows nothing of his family...

Any help please email me at email address removed by moderator to prevent spamming - please contact using a personal message as I will check that more often than this website!

Please help - even if its to point me in the right direction..... x

Thank-you for this!! I was about to give up, now I have applied for his birth certificate and eagerly awaiting a visit from the postman every day!!  :D

I guess I am hoping that his parents were born pre 1901 so I can catch them in the 1901 census right??

I will let you know!

Thank-you once again, how did you find out all this info??

Rachel   :)

I assume you've found Alfred on the 1901 census ?

He's aged 9 (b c1892) Salop Shifnal

Listed in Wombridge along with:
Joseph 34 Iron Worker Labourer
Elizabeth 30
Edith 11, Ann 7, Mary 5, Elizabeth 3, Joseph 1

On the 1901 census site, search for surname: WEAVER, place keyword WOMBRIDGE.

Blimey Blimey Blimey!!! This is amazing!! You just dont know how much this is going to mean to my dad!! Its his birthday on the 27th Feb and I'm hoping to pull together a little family tree for him - up until about a week ago he hadn't got a clue of anything other than his dads name was Frederick!!

I haven't read everything here as I'm too excited and can't seem to dechiper anything - LOL!

I also have found this person (Rebecca Taylor) - would you think it would be the same one???

THANK-YOU so much for your help! You are such kind people!!!

Rachel :D (with a big grin on her face!)
