MONK, John Arthur (FOORD Family)

Seeking help in finding relatives of John Arthur MONK (b: 10 Feb. 1912 - Hastings Sussex) in the U.K. or Canada.  John was a home child who came to Canada via the Liverpool Sheltering home in 1923.  His grandfather, Jesse FORD (Spouse - Maria Georgina HARMER) and two uncles came to Canada between 1901 and 1914.  Jesse was believed to be in the Quebec City area as late as 1923.  Uncle Herbert FOORD was believed to be in Montreal during period 1930 - 1953.   Uncle Arthur Douglas FOORD went to Winnipeg and married there in 1915.  His brothers Henry James MONK (registered as FOORD), and George Frederick MONK also came to Canada in 1920.  Henry James died near Vancouver 8 May 1949.  George Frederick MONK (a.k.a. FOORD) died Duncan British Columbia 15 June 1996.

I notice there is possibly some FOORDS missing that are included in the 1891 census for Hastings

Do you have / or have you followed the Foords, Harmer, Monks etc through the English Census returns; or do you want me to do it for you.

Thank you for your offer of help, greatly appreciated.   I think that Mr. Monk (home child) is satisfied with the information provided to him at the moment.  We are waiting on a certificate from England at the moment.

Any additional info from census would be greatly apprecited.  Thanks.

Recentley i found  that  Ellen Alice Bashford married a Aaron Foord in Hastings in 1881  is this the same guy ? .

Thank you for your interest and info.  Greatly appreciated.  I will pass it on as I am no longer looking at the Foord line.  Mr. Monk who lives near Ottawa Ontario, a home child, is happy with the information that he has received from local volunteers resarchers who are looking into the home children.
