hello reedy,your gg/father was in sir garnett wolsleys expedition to put down the the ashanti under king kofi karikari, he fought in the battles of essaman 14th oct,escabeo on 27th oct,abrakrampra on 5th nov all 1873,in the following months of 1874 he fought at borborassie on 29th jan and the final battle at coomassie,there were a lot of sick men who had to be sent home plus the 394 wounded,68 were killed and two were captured and eaten[asda must have been shut] ,mack
