My Dad was a Bond and did a lot of trawling through records in Dubline/Coleraine/Derry etc.....

Is this a connection?

There’s this marriage of Andrew DUNLOP and Isabella BOND on 18 January 1859 in Coleraine. Andrew was a baker and his father Robert Dunlop, a clerk. Isabella's father Henry Bond, a master of the workhouse.

Male siblings I now know of are Geoffrey (from census) and possibly Robert (witness at marriage). Any further info would be greatly appreciated

Death of Geoffrey Dunlop in 1931. The informant was his brother Robert (living at Upper Prince Edward Terrace, Blackrock).

Hi Jenny,

It was so fantastic to get your message! Always great to make a family connection  ;D
It's been a long time since I've done any any research but yes, I have a lot more than that original post. I've got quite a bit about Andrew and Isabella and their family and of the Dunlop side, (the previous generation were in Scotland,) but, from memory, I have very little of the Bond side! I've had some computer issues recently and can't get at my database right now but I'll get back to you tonight!!!

Yes thanks this is the same family.

Henry Bond married Mary-Anne Entwistle in Glendermott CofI Church on 29 August 1833.

Mary-Anne's parents were Henry Entwizle Esquire and Mary Brawley (baptism in Lower Cumber CofI Church on 5 March 1815 - illegitimate).

We think that Henry Entwizle Esquire is likely to be the Henry Entwisle referred to in the McClay gravestone inscriptions (Ref: D3672/2 in the Public Record Office, Belfast) which records the following headstone in Cumber Old graveyard:

‘Henry Entwisle born 6 March 1789 died 8 June 1816 was the 4th son of John and Ellen Entwisle of Foxholes House in the County of Lancaster which Ellen was a daughter of the late Hugh Lyle Esquire of Coleraine County Londonderry’

That takes us down the route of following
John (Markland) Entwisle where there is a significant amount of family history published in a section on Foxholes in the History of the Parish of Rochdale - Old Houses and Old Families - Hundersfield.
and
Hugh Lyle  (Ellen's father) where there is also much available.

No information on Mary Brawley though so still searching for there.

They had at least 11 chidren -
