Hi Gina

I have just had another at the Baptism Certificate and it say's Church of St Joseph Templerainey. I just checked the Arklow Census and found a Hugh Delaney Age 21  living at number 1 Templerainey and a Mary Reilly living at number 7 Templerainey age 30 also her daughter Mary Ellen age 11.
I am not sure if my Grandmother gave birth to my mother at home as they did in those day's as she was dying from T.B.  Maybe Mary Reilly helped with the birth of my mother.  As my grandmother had only been living in  Arklow from 1929 She would not of had any family around her to help. My Grandfather must have moved after his wife died in 1930 to 21 The Brook.
Thank you very much for your help.

Regards Manus

what was the parents name... there was a tb hospital in arklow it was where the arklow bay hotel is now.. maybe she gave birth there at the hospital as she had tb..  i checked the electoral records for 1939 and there is no dunnes living at 21 the brook and i think the O Donnells live there now and have for as long as i can remember.. if i see one of them i will ask did they know your family.. just give me all the names you want to know about... the midwife at that time was a nurse slevin from tyndalls lane.. maybe there was more than one i dont know..

Hi Gina
Thank you so much for your help.
James dunne age 47 in 1930
Mary Dunne age 37 in 1930
Margaret Dunne age 6 in 1930
Mary Dunne age 5 in 1930
James Dunne age 3 in 1930
Unknown Baby Dunne died about 9 months old
All the above were born in Wexford
Brigid Dunne born 18 February 1930 Born in Arklow This is my mother and it was after my mother was born that my Grandmother Mary Dunne died.

I know my mother was living at 21 The Brook in May 1953 as that is the address on her marriage certificate
The O'Donnell's you are talking about are the people I was talking to when I was in Arlklow I think they lived at number 23 they were both really nice and tried to help they said that there was an old man who lived in the town that knew everyone. He was normally in the pub.  But as I was there early in the morning he would not have been there at that time. They said that he had loads of old  photo's of  the town and I also think they said his son had the pub not the one in that road the one where all the shop's are I just wish I could have stayed and waited for him as I would have loved to have seen the photo's.
