I hope I've not put this in the wrong place!!

Looking for Horace Bertram Davies Wilde who married Violet Cook in 1938.  Not sure what happened to the marriage as he spent some time in prison for bigamy!!

He spent a lot of his time in Easington as Violet was from there.  Also Peterlee where he married again in 1960.

Had Mandalay Jigsaws in the 1950s and was bankrupt.

Been doing family history for 10 years but don't know Easington/Durham well enough to know if there is any info I can tap into.

Any info would be FAB!!

Hi Judith, My name is Lance Wilde and I'm one for grandsons of Horace. My dad was Denis Wilde born in 1923 and died in 1975. We met Horace on several occasions in the early 1980's but we he was 83 when he died in 1982. In the last years of his life he lived in Leeming Bar and Bedale in North Yorkshire with his third wife Eve. If you wish to contact me you can. email address and phone number removed by moderator - should you wish to exchange private information please do this by private message . I live in Chester and have done since 1985. My younger brother Martin has photographs of Horace and my dad. My dad had a sister called Lorna who died aged 23. Horace and my dads mother Ruth split when my dad was 11 and he was then looked after by his grandmother in Oswestry. Would like to hear from should you read this.
Lance.

Dear Lance and Judith,
I am also trying to find out more about Horace Bertram Davies Wilde and his descendants.
Geneology links me a little to his aunt Elizabeth. My own mother was from the Wrexham area and for some reason has her birth registered to "Wilde" - nobody knows why.
Any information would be gratefully received. Darren
