Rootschat is a fantastic resource, with some really lovely and helpful people.

Love the fact that l feel I can dip in and out as I need to. Sometimes life tend to demand your attention 25 hours a day, but when you can chill out and spend some time in the hobby it is wonderful.

Thanks very much Rootschat and Rootschatters for the help I have had in the past.

Roots Chat is an incredible resource and I have not only been assisted by some of the most knowledgeable and kind people here, but I have actually found family and my own family history I would likely never have found through threads here!

I have just joined this site and I'm sure it is going to be very helpful.  I am returning to my family tree research which I began several years ago.  Unfortunately most of my research was done in the days before computers, so I'm trying to catch up on all the online resources now available.

Hopefully so, I’ve hit a couple of brick walls in different directions of my tree and after stumbling across this site last night I’ve seen some members asking the same questions and finding bits already. So I’m very hopeful

I suppose most Ancester hunters have come across the problem in parish records,
you get the PR film  images and they are virtually unreadable, has any one found an
app or some thing like  'Pinta ' to improve the images to be readable, it seems that
the very family info one finds its the only one that's very faint, free if poss but its not
totally necessary a really good one might be worth buying.....

I'm so glad I found this forum. Hoping it might help me to unlock some of my brick walls. Thanks for creating this resource!
