Catherine Jones COMPLETED

Hello.

This lady is a distant relative who i gather from censuses she came from HOLMES, HEREFORDSHIRE?  Is there such a place?  Is it in England or Wales?

Her father was SAMUEL JONES (her marriage cert) and i gather she was born c1840.   

I found many Catherine Jones in the freebmd site and most seem to come from a Welsh place name.

Catherine married my ggmother's oldest brother JOHN GREEN, b1845 in Essex.  His mother was Welsh, coming from Radnorshire or Brecknockshire!  This is still a vexed question.

I have been unable to locate Catherine Jones on the familysearch site also.

There is a Holmer in Herefordshire if that helps - on the northern outskirts of the grand metropolis of Hereford.

I had a quick look on freebmd earlier, and Holmer would come under Hereford registration district which should help to narrow down all the Catherine Jones'.
