Hi John  :)

If you're wanting an ID on the hospital, rather than a cleanup/restore, can I suggest that this thread be moved over to the London and Middlesex board, or even the Common Room?   Many people don't visit the restoration board and you may miss out on some valuable help.

If you'd like it moved, let me know either on the thread or by PM  :)

TOPIC MOVED  :)

Hi John

Have you looked on the back of the photo? Does this hold a clue? I have tried googling a London hospital with E on the entrance porch window but no luck. A long shot approach but worth a try.  :)

Hi, just a thought, the ratio of nurses to men is not very high, could it be a college or school. Perhaps she was a matron there?

hi ben, nothing on the back except from and to, the e could be any thing, thanks for trying[ i wish people put a note on the photos, out of all the photos i have only about 2% have anything on and that dont always make sense neither.] hi jennifer, i had the same thought but although i can remember relatives saying she was a matron i dont remember any mention of a school but worth considering, thanks, john.

Hi, some of the men seem to be wearing a badge on their lapel. Would this happen in a hospital?

hi jennifer, i  am not very knowledgable about hospitals and nursing, so i am not able to hazard a guess even. looking at my aunts age i would say she is in her late twenties which would make the photo about 1925 maybe later. cheers, john.
