Is it possible that the family could have "adapted" their name:

When you look at the names of the older children, there is a possible Irish family that immigrates on the Bee in 1858 …  but their surname = McAuliffe (see: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CS8Y-XQP4-1)

With this surname you can find a Jane born in Truro on 29 Dec 1863. Parents are Martin McAuliffe and Mary Mungovan...

A HUGE thanks TreeSpirit - that is definitely them and the surnames are spelled variously for some years but I'd missed looking this up for Jane and spent far too long trying interstate! 

Would you have any suggestions where to look for images of people from the late 1800s and early 1900s country South Australia by any chance? I'm wondering about trying the historical societies in these very small towns but most are not accessible nowadays by email and have postbox numbers and I am currently living in Myanmar where the post doesnt work!
