Where is Henry Rickart Hamlin's second Marriage ?

I am looking for the details of Henry Rickart Hamlin's second marriage. He married first time around in Kent in 1923, but on his death certificate (he died 1978)  it shows his wife as Ethel Maud Hamlin - this is not his first wife. This Ethel Maud Hamlin died two years later in 1980 in Surrey (born 14 April 1899) but I can't find their marriage details on Ancestry at all.

Perhaps he got married overseas ?

Any help will be greatly received.

Have you only looked at the partially transcribed index on freebmd?  Transcriptions beyond 1929 are very thin on the ground so you will need to search the full GRO index  which is available at your nearest main library.  It can also be searched online if you have an Ancestry subscription or at www.findmypast.com which is a paysite

The one I have highlighted in red is the one you have to search

You have to search on a quarter by quarter basis for each year and download each image to search for an entry

Perhaps I should make myself clearer (it would help!), I have gone through every quarter and searched for every entry for Hamlin from 1930 onwards to see if I can find this marriage and have not been able to.

Thanks for the clarification.  Your reply gave the impression that you had only searched the transcribed entries.

Tell me about it, it did take a while but it was only the Hamlin pages I looked at which still added up to quite a few images. I actually went a little bit beyond 1978 as that is how I found this Ethel Maud Hamlin (in April quarter 1980).

If he isn't present here (perhaps I missed him) then perhaps he was married second time around overseas.

Further update on this and I still am not any closer to finding this marriage. Thanks to Ancestry I have now checked all marriages from 1916 onwards and the only one there is his first marriage.

Thanks to Familyrelatives offering the overseas one for free I have checked all the quarters on there and still no luck.

There's hope yet.  Ethel Maud's 1980 death cert will have her maiden name on it.  I have a 1972 and a 1988 death cert - both of which show maiden name
