I am new on the site and I am intrested in Owen Elias and his son William Owen Elias and his family my conection is with Owen Elias sister Emma.
William O Elias built a further series of streets with the initial
that gave the name of his eldest son, E Alfred.
These start at Espin st and finish at Dyson st, thus these Generations of this family of welsh buildersshare in the memorial. It is said that Owen Elias was chairman of the first meeting in Liverpool addressed by John Bright and it was at this meeting the phrase " Liverpool as the capital of Wales.
Owen Elias came to liverpool with two of his brothers one was Edward Elias, then there was William Elias. William O Elias was married to Martha Williams in 1870 martha father was William William the first welsh town councillor of Liverpool.
