By doing a bit of DNA comparison on Ysearch website I think I may have found something significant in relation to the origins of Eatons of Nantmel. Their STR results match very closely (36/37 markers and the one minor mis-match is on DYS 449 which is highly prone to mutation) to the Davenport family. The latter are an ancient Cheshire family of Norman origin. There were also long-established land-owning Eaton/Etons in Cheshire. This suggests to me that the Nantmel people were probably not derived from the Flintshire-Denbighshire Eytons but the  Cheshire ones.

I hope this is a helpful pointer
