I've just checked the whole page that I copied from the BT and there is one other S. This S is the same as the S in Sperry.

Unfortunately, the first letter of 'Sumers' is not repeated anywhere else on the page. :(

If it isn't the letter S, what other letter could it be?  ???
OSBORN - Middlesex, Lincolnshire, Rutland
GRAHAM - Ross & Cromarty
SPARY - Surrey, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire
BOUTTELL - Middlesex, Suffolk
BARBER - Surrey, Bedfordshire
HINCKLEY - Glamorgan, Breconshire, Staffordshire
REES - Gloucestershire
