Can yoy read this?
« on: Tuesday 15 February 05 18:29 GMT (UK) »
Can you read this cause of death in 1842?

It says "Effusion of blood into the left lateral ventricle of the ??????"

Looks like tournin to me?  Any medical experts.

Yes I know it also says Verdict died by the visitation of God.  I was a bit disappointed to get aa coroner and not a relatives name but you can't argue with God.

Hi,

The image isn't showing up, but the left ventricle is in the heart, so could the word be heart?

That was quick.  I realised I hadn't added the image and was just in the middle of adding it.  Doesn't look like heart does it?

Hi,

No I would agree not heart.

There are ventricles in the brain too.  A bleed there could be fatal, however it doesn't look like brain either.

I don't know of any other ventrcles in the body.

Hi,

Just had a closer look and I think the word is brain.

I looked it up - often the easiest way  8)

Brain ventricle: One of a system of four communicating cavities within the brain that are continuous with the central canal of the spinal cord.

The four ventricles consist of the two lateral ventricles, the third ventricle and the fourth ventricle.
