And another can you read

Anyone know what this address could be in 1842.

Subdistrict is Sandport and Southsea although I always thought it was Landport

I think The date is twenty-ninth of August 1842 2.30 A M but what is the address?

The one bit looks like 'back of the skillet' something? Sandport but the first bit I cant make out at all

It is Landport, I've seen the curly L before.

The other line definitely reads "back of the" and the next letter is a "W" - again I have seen this form before. It looks like "Wiltshire Saint" to me and makes me wonder if it was a boat?

Thanks to all.

Little Nell that is exactly right.  I had another look at the 1841 census.  The person who typed the registration district at the top of the certificate typed Sandport and Southsea.  Just shows you can't trust anyone these days.
