Hi Wendy

Sorry you've had no response on this one.  Have you considered posting it on the One Name Studies Board ?

I can move it there for you if you like.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Ticker,

Thanks for the suggestion.  I have posted a message on the ONS board as well and hope this helps to get a response.

Many thanks,

Wendy

Hi Alli,

Welcome to RootsChat and congratulations on being successful with your first post. My Findlays are connected to yours but I will put you in touch with 'George Findlay' from Dumfries, who I believe is directly related to your line and should be able to help you.
I will dig out his email and send you a personal message.

Nice to hear from you,

cheers,

Wendy

Although an 'old' thread, does anyone recognise an 'Isabella Findlay, born abt 1800-1805 & married to a George Paterson from Banff sometime about 1825 or so.
I'm sorry for the scanty information, just hoped it might be recognised by someone!
Many thanks,

Colin

He remarried Jessie-Ann Runcie on 1/12/1888 and had 4 children. Jessie-Ann (my direct line) Nellie Caird, Elsie Jane and William George. Jessie-Ann Runcie also had an illegitimate daughter, Margaret Addison Runcie. Are these Findlay's in your line?

A Grace Barclay from my home town of Cellardyke in Fife was married in 1900 to George Findlay from 118 Seatown, Cullen. Grace was a 2nd cousin of my granny.

Thanks to Scotlandspeople I can tell you that George Findlay was 27 in 1900, and was the son of George Findlay and Janet "Jessie" Findlay.

This George Findlay was the son of William Findlay and Ann Gardiner; his wife Jessie was the daughter of William Findlay and Barbara Findlay.

I hope that's enough Findlays for you!

Harry
