http://search.bcarchives.gov.bc.ca/sn-5C5D30/gbsearch/Deathsseems to show his death as in Vancouver?
http://www.findmypast.com/passengerListPersonSearchStart.action a Fred A. Power b. abt 1883 was heading to Canada in 1913 - from London, landing in Quebec.
He signed up for WWI, at which time he was a Letter Carrier living in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, and married to Mrs A. M. Power (Alice Martha, whose death is shown in BC?).
It also says he was previously in the RN.
http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/ shows his RN records.
He married in Woolwich in 1904, Alice Martha Mills.
http://www.nwpl.new-westminster.bc.ca/nwheritage.org/heritagesite/genealogy/library.htmhas lots of links including:
http://www.islandnet.com/bccfa/search.php which shows Frederick A. Power at "Fraser" cemetery in New Westminster (also there, a Robert and a Richard F)
They do appear to be in Prince Albert for the 1916 census of Saskatchewan. There, sons appear: Robert F (1900?), Alfred G, 1910, Arthur H, 1915, William G, 1916.
There's a question mark on Robert because he appears to be actually a Mills (Robert Frederick Mills, b. 1902). And this makes this thread feel very familiar to me!
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,351121.0.html - see here! There are other relatives on that thread, including a descendant of Frederick and Alice.
