Hi and welcome to Rootschat

This is the Welsh 1871 census for Maesmawr  Llandinam
Montgomeryshire  - all b Llandinam

Stephen Meredith 24  labourer
Margaret   29
Richard 4
Stephen   3
George   1
RG10; Piece: 5613; Folio: 49; Page: 7

The 1881 census is free at www.familysearch.org

A copy of Richards marriage cert will confirm his fathers name

There was only one other Richard Meredith in that age year on the 1871 and he was b Merionethshire

A Richard Manuel Meredith was b Newtown 1870

Also this could be Richard Marriage two possible Brides

BMD Marriage Richard Manual Meredith  Dec qtr 1892 Newtown 11b 346

think the Manuel may be an error because one of the brides is
Mary Manuel  and the other possible is Sara Ann Pike

Hello and thank you for your warm welcome.
Bless you all for your help at such a late hour!!!
I have found most of what you have posted, and just sent for the marriage cert, hopefully they will confirm Richards parents.
Thank you
