Looking for Jeremiah Leary who was born about 1796 in Ireland and moved to Barnsley about 1835. His wife Mary and son Daniel both have Ireland down as their birthplace too. Mary was bn about 1807 and Daniel 1828. Jeremiah was a weaver. I have since discovered that Daniel's place of birth was Brandon, County Kerry.
Leary in Barnsley, Hunslet and Bandon, County Cork, Ireland.

Hinves in Hampshire.
Foreman in London, Yorkshire.
Theaker in Lincolnshire, Yorkshire.

Did any of your Leary's leave Ire. for U.S.?  There are a LOT of that name in Franklin Co., New York from 1850 on.       Leagen

Hi

I'm researching the family in England and haven't found any US connection yet.

They moved to Barnsley, Yorkshire between 1828 and 1835 but of course some of them could have emigrated from Ireland so I can't rule it out.

I have discovered on the 1891 census that Daniel Leary was born in1828/29 in Brandon, which is in County Kerry ( that could also have been Bandon which is in County Cork  too as many errors exist) so if anyone originates from those places I would think there's a chance some did emigrate to the US.
