Thanks Forfarian for that link.
It's been extremely interesting as I've got several other branches of my family that lived in Culriach, Upper Dallachy, Auchenreath, Cuffurach, Newlands, Dundurcas, Orton and Inchberry.
Don't think this is even exhaustive! I take it this map is from the NLS? Have never found that before-
does it have a date on it, please?
Many thanks again.

If you mean the map on the Geograph web site, it is current, and it is not on the NLS web site.

Culriach https://www.geograph.org.uk/gridref/NJ3463 and https://www.geograph.org.uk/gridref/NJ3562 (click on map to enlarge to see name)
Upper Dallachy https://www.geograph.org.uk/gridref/NJ3662
Auchenreath https://www.geograph.org.uk/gridref/NJ3763
Cuffurach https://www.geograph.org.uk/gridref/NJ3961
There are lots of different places called Newlands; among others
Newlands of Tynet https://www.geograph.org.uk/gridref/NJ3761
Newlands of Dundurcas https://www.geograph.org.uk/gridref/NJ2951
Dundurcas https://www.geograph.org.uk/gridref/NJ3051 and adjacent squares
Orton https://www.geograph.org.uk/gridref/NJ3153 and adjacent squares
Inchberry https://www.geograph.org.uk/gridref/NJ3155

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Thanks again Forfarian for those links- have never used nor heard of that website before.
It's all very interesting.
It's the Newlands of Tynet that I'd be interested in, as my gg grandfather was a mason there; dying in 1899. My ggg grandfather was also a gardener at Orton in 1811, so am interested in that one too.
Thank you for all your help with those links. It's much appreciated.
