Thanks to everyone, Fred emigrated in 1906 as mentioned above and I am now in email contact with his Grand daughter Maureen in NY.

Not sure what is on the hat Mo, but they both seem to be wearing quite alot of animals.  Wouldn't do today would it.  I bet they needed it in the winter in Canada tho.  Yorkshire is cold but I think they would have got a shock when they arrived there.

I'm surprised that they're both standing upright.
