Hi Dave,

Suggest you post on the USA Lookup Requests Board. I don't know about BMDs for Mass. Thefamily appear to stay put.  John appears in 1910-1930 census, He remarries between 1910 and 1920 to Annie/Anne G. She was also from England, stating she arrived in 1916. She says she was 59 at first marriage so that looks like a marriage about 1916. See other family members also, son John H a few houses away..............Kris  :)

Hello,

John Hawkins Newman married my great great great aunt, Ann Grecian Annely, born in Bath, in 1856...On her passenger list record it shows that he paid for her to join him in America, she traveled on the Cameronia ship, but was possibly transfered to the Lusitania. She arrived 22 of May 1916.

John was the first man she married, as she worked as a maid for quite a long time.  :)

Hi Rachey,

Nice to hear from you. I've actually traced a living descendant from John & Ann - she lives in the USA. There is a number of Newman's residing in various States that stem from our branch of the family - if you're interested in that side of the family please advise. I have her as Ann Grecian Annely - born Abt Sept 1856 Lyncombe & Widcombe region, Bath. Somerset. 2nd wife of John Hawkins Newman they married in 1916 - presumably when she 1st arrived.... died 6 dec 1936 in Woburn, Massascheuttes. USA - buried at Woodbrook Cemeterym Woburn, Mass in Dec 1916. As far as i know they had no children. Does this help??

Best regards  Dave

Hello  :)

A bit of info on how they met, you may know this already though....
They both worked at Summerhill House, bath, in the 1880s, John was a Gardeners Park Bailiff amd Ann was a Parlour maid....

Do the relatives you have found have any pictures of Ann? Probably a bit of a longshot!  ;D

Thanks for the information about where she is burried, I read on Ancestry that John was given a Masonic funeral? Very interesting if that's right  ;D
