POWELL
« on: Sunday 25 April 04 00:05 BST (UK) »
Looking for the family of Anne POWELL, whose father was William POWELL a Druggist.  I think Anne was born c1810-1813.
She married Jeffrey POOLE 8 November 1838 in St. Martin's Worcester.
They then moved to Brighton in Sussex where their four children were born.
Any connection would be welcomed.

Berjan

Do you have the 1851 census details for Brighton.

If not, will look for them and type it out if necessary

Chris

My problem is that they had moved from Sussex in c1847, and Anne's husband Jeffrey died 1854 in Brentford Chiswick of TB.  I have lost her and the children after that, and thought she may have gone home to her parents.  I only know her fathers name, which was on the parish register of her marriage.
The children's names are.
Ann Elizabeth born 1839 Brighton, Sussex
Jeffrey Francis born 1841 Brighton, Sussex
William born 1844 Brighton, Sussex
John Powell Poole born 1846 Brighton, Sussex 9my ggrandfather)
You did a lookup for me not long ago, for a Jeffrey Francis Poole, for the 1891 census but didn't find him.  You found 4 Jeffrey Poole's.  Would it be possible to obtain the info on each of these Jeffrey's.
In this family there has been a Jeffrey Poole in each generation - always spelt the same - since 1700s.  The family originated in Wales, and once in England think they stayed there.
As in 1875 they turn up in Birmingham.
In 1891 census I know that there are 2 Jeffrey's in Birmingham, 1 born 1880 the son of William.  Another born in Atcham, and an apprentice Chemist.  Haven't found his connection yet.

I  hope you can understand this and would appreciate any help you can give me.

Thanks
Janette
