It's brilliant JM, Thanks for the heads up on it.

Once you have opened the right PDF by using the keyword search ( I just put in an unusual sort of surname for practice purposes  ;D) you can  use ctrl F to locate the occurrences of that keyword. Perfect ;D

Several of these resources seem to be out of date/broken links - I've marked the first 3 I came across

Mary this is not the correct link to search - it has expired!!
National Archives of Australia - Record Search
http://naa12.naa.gov.au/SearchNRetrieve/Interface/SearchScreens/BasicSearch.aspx

This one to the search page- the link posted on the resources is to the home page for NAA which quite OK to use.

Kris, our former moderator did a fantastic job assembling the free links but this was done a number of years ago ;D :)

Instead of posting the errors here I suggest you pm Sarah with the information.

Hi jkgla,

I have only just spotted your reply, I have just updated the first section of links :) If you spot anymore if you click on the report to moderator button or a pm I can fix them for you.

New great link from Cando :)

I see that at present an earlier link* for Grevilles 1872 Post Office Directory seems to be disabled at present.

Here's a live link that should be helpful.

I have listed this on another thread but thought I should also put the information here regarding the 3-digit codes instead of the district listed on the NSW BDM Index courtesy of Marilyn Rowan NSW transcription agent:
