Adding images to Posting & Profiles - Practice Post

Bob, Again I have tried but still no joy.

I click on I will upload my own picture , the click on browse, choose the photo from my pictures, open the picture and then I put in the text "Aunt Maud" then click change profile.
The picture is 37.9KB (whatever that means,I could not see anything which says about pixcels). Am I being a doddering old fool or what?

Well done Sheron. Tis idiot could not manage it. Also can't do maths. Bob said to keep it under 10kb and I posted (or tried to) on that was 37.9.

Don't worry, many of us have been there.  I had less hair by the time I was succesful.

Try attaching your proposed piccie to a post on this thread, then we can see if there's a problem.

well, goodness, i did it, tried to change it, got no where, then it did it!!

the big problem is that the facility "I will upload my own picture" doesn't seem to work too well.

try this,
Use 1) Resizing and cropping your image file:[/color]
in the tutorial to resize the image.
then load it to this topic as an attachment, and then use the address of the image, here on the topic to copy into "I will upload my own picture"

first step, resize and put the picture here ....
