Adding images to Posting & Profiles - Practice Post

This 'test' post was emr's first post on Rootschat but they should be able to post images now.

This attachment would not work on another board.

You can not attach images to boards described as "look up" it your topic is in one of these places we can move it for you just need to let us know.

Hi Sarah
I was replying to an item on The Common Room. It allowed me to select an attachment but when I clicked on "Post" nothing happened so I thought there might be something wrong with the attachment. Are attachments not allowed in The Common Room?

yes Jim, you will need to re-name the image file that you have already posted because each image has to have a unique filename I have just removed the image to make it easier for you

Thanks for confirming that Sarah. I won't in fact try again as that particular thread has now finished and it would only confuse people. It must have just been a hiccough in the system. As long as I know for the future that attachments can be used on The Common Room, which seemed to be the most appropriate board for my general family history query. Thanks again for your help.
