Hi Sue, I am very interested in that side of my family tree as well. I am another John Hunter and our family historically claimed a relationship with Josiah Wedgewood. We have now traced our ancestors back to that very marriage which you are interested in and would love to know what you know. I bought a copy of their 1911 Census form and sent it to my sister who then pointed me to this site. I'd send you a copy but there's a lot of copyright notices on this forum so not sure it's a good idea.
Is there any chance that we could swap some family trees?

Do you know anything about John Hunter Padel (father of Ruth Padel a famous english poet) who Wikipedia claims is named after his ancestor the great surgeon JH?

Is there any relationship between John Hunter and Charles Darwin OR Josiah Wedgwood?

our John Hunter is only related to the wedgewoods via his marriage to Mary Wedgewood, who is indeed relatd to Josiah Wedgewood adn Charles Darwin.
