Names and dates would be a help, but perhaps you could start with the 1901 Census

Hi suffolkpunch,

Griffith's Primary Valuation which took place in Leitrim in 1856 lists eighteen Gilligan heads of household

Fifty per cent of those listed were in the Parish of Cloonclare. There were none in Mohill.

In the 1950s Helen Moore (Gilligan) acted with the St. Manachan Players, Mohill.
